September Community Tour

Visit us for a community tour and storytelling through food experience on Wednesday, September 13th from 6-8pm with local chef and artist Ramon Shiloh. Based in Portland, OR, Ramon is an award-winning author, illustrator, activist for Native youth, and multicultural chef of Mvskoke, Cherokee, Filipino, and Black descent. His core values are focused on building healthy and empowering relationships which reflect our foodway systems and the need to share our Indigenous food knowledge in this ever-changing world.
Ramon will be sharing more about his food journey and leading a cooking demonstration with First Foods. He will be assisted by Chef Caitlyn Tuttle whose culinary focus is on food accessibility. Guests will have an opportunity to sample dishes featuring local seasonal ingredients and learn about food sovereignty, harvesting, and Indigenous food knowledge.
