Addie Roanhorse Artist Talk

October 14, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Native Arts & Cultures Foundation is excited to partner with Ginew to present an artist talk with Osage multidisciplinary artist Addie Roanhorse, on Saturday, October 14th from 5pm to 6:30pm at the Center for Native Arts & Cultures, 800 SE 10th Ave, Portland, OR 97214.

Join us in welcoming artist and graphic designer Addie Roanhorse, a member of the Osage Nation to Portland as she speaks about the launch of her new blanket design with Ginew, and her role in the production of the new film Killers of the Flower Moon.

Ginew is a Portland-based Native American-owned apparel brand, and co-owner Dr. Erik Brodt (Ojibwe) will be hosting the talk with Addie to talk about her new blanket design Gently Strikes sold by Ginew and woven by Pendleton Woolen Mills. The Gently Strikes blanket is made from 100% virgin wool measuring 64″X80″ and is un-napped and felt bound with a deer-hunted leather patch. These incredible blankets are made in small batches in limited quantities. Blankets will be for sale at the event.
